I am with yo, I call back it is ridiculous that you can't use the encrypt option without downloading unsafe tertiary party software?What is the use of creating an pick and than grey information technology out! Very disappointed

the Encrypt contents to secure data check box. is greyed out and so I deceit use information technology?
I have the latest win 10 update (updated yesterday) and hard drive is formatted to NTFS

Encrypt contents to secure data cheque box is greyed out. We demand to protect our files on the hard drive as window defender tin't protect the states

Paul_G_FZ. That is what this question is most. How practise you lot protect your files on the difficult drive, if y'all tin can not protect is with a countersign.

Well this IS ridiculous. In this twenty-four hours and age with cybersecurity a priority at all times. And so how secure are folders I store in One Drive? Ridiculous. I call up MS should fire whomever designed this software.

I followed the directions above to encrypt a folder. While I see where I need to check the encryption, it is unavailable to check. I can only compress. Is in that location a way to get in available? And why wouldn't it be bachelor?

I accept the exact same problem. I follow the Microsoft encryption directions precisely, and the encryption box is greyed out. When I try to click on it, nothing happens. The encryption is unavailable, so the Microsoft directions do not work at all! Why are these directions given when they do non work?

this is useless. why have folder/file protection off windows 10. suggest it be written back into the adjacent auto update along with old media role player facility.
